Sunday Post: Back Shelf Books 3/17/2024

Welcome back to Back Shelf Books for another Sunday Post!

This has been the longest of weeks for us in my home. I’ve had some health issues the past few weeks which have taken a lot of time to resolve. While things are still a bit up in the air, we’ve at least been able rule out the bad options! However, because of all appointments and problems, I had a fairly low reading week. Hopefully the next few weeks are better!

As always, I’m linking up with Readerbuzz for The Sunday Salon, Reading Reality for Stacking the Shelves, and The Caffeinated Reviewer for The Sunday Post.

Upcoming Posts & Reviews

Honestly, I don’t have a ton planned next week! Because I’ve been a bit under the weather, I don’t have much scheduled. I will definitely have reviews of Cascade Failure and The Jellyfish up, but other than that, your guess is as good as mine!

What I Read This Week

My husband and I have taken to reading before bed, which has increased my novel-reading dramatically. Cascade Failure releases this week, so look out for that review! There is a Rio Grande in Heaven is a stand-out book for me, and I can’t wait to share that review in a couple of months.

Currently Reading

I’m currently listening to the audiobook of Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries, which I love! I’m also reading an arc of The Dead Cat Tail Assassins, and it’s not at ALL what I thought it would be, but in the best way possible. I think I’ll likely pick up Like Happiness soon; since I have both a physical arc and audiobook arc, it should go quickly!

Stacking the Shelves

A small, manageable stack this week! I’m super excited for The Main Character, which is an Agatha Christie-esque mystery. It has the Orient Express!! Remnant is an indie fantasy and I was gifted the audiobook for review. The audiobook is narrated by the same narrators who work with Brandon Sanderson on his books, so I am stoked! Last but not least, I picked up the audio of the first Emily Wilde book on Spotify.

Weekly Goal & Final Thoughts

Honestly, guys, my goal is just to make it through the week this week and get some reading and reviews done. Nothing special at all. Some weeks are like that, you know?

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to comment your Sunday post link below 🙂
