Back Shelf Books is a collection of my personal reviews and commentary for books I really love. Nine times out of ten, those books are speculative and science fiction. For me, that means:
- Dystopian/Utopian/Post-apocalyptic/End of the World
- Aliens and robots and spaceships
- Scary sea creatures and yetis and other (probably) not real monsters
- Horror and creepy paranormal stories
I also read select fantasy and non-fiction titles, but I’m a little pickier with my choices in these genres.
You’ll also see reviews here for graphic novels and audiobooks within and outside of these genres.
My rating scale is a 1 to 5 scale, and is entirely subjective to how much I enjoyed a book. Take these with a grain of salt.
