Top Ten Tuesday: 2024 Releases on My TBR – Dark & Moody Vibes

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. These are all things I can wholeheartedly get behind.

This week’s topic is books/titles with nature themes. I promise I tried to stick with the theme – I really did! You’ll see that a lot of the books below are full of trees, animals, and flowers. However, the nature-covered books on my TBR had quite a theme. They all looked very moody and very dark. There are some horrors, some thrillers, some speculative fiction books, and some literary fiction reads. Regardless of genre, this collection has a vibe.

Not a fan of dark books? I feel that. I’m not always! I’ll be featuring my most anticipated 2024 brighter, lighter reads next week.

  1. The Brides of High Hill by Nghi Vo
  2. It Came from the Trees by Ally Russell
  3. We Are Hunted by Tomi Oyemakinde
  4. Camino Ghosts by John Grisham
  5. Lady Macbeth by Ava Reid
  6. Don’t Let the Forest In by CG Drews
  7. King Nyx by Kirsten Bakis
  8. The Black Girl Survives in This One edited by Desiree S. Evans and Saraciea J. Fennell
  9. Island Rule by Katie M. Flynn
  10. King of Dead Things by Nevin Holness

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Be sure to share your TTT in the comments below so I can check it out!

  2. These are definitely moody covers! Most people think bright and fun with nature, but it’s not always so.
