Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Books on My Winter TBR. I don’t know about everyone else, but it’s just now getting frigid where I live, so I’m just now in the mood to read truly winter-themed, snowy books. This TBR was so much fun to make, and I’ve added some real gems I’ve been meaning to read for a while now.

First up is The Advent of Winter, an incredible fantasy anthology that was funded through Kickstarter. It features a huge amount of fantasy authors, with one fantasy short story delivered daily from December 1st through 24th. I’ve enormously enjoyed this collection so far and always anticipate my story each day.

I want to fall into the hype on this one. Gothic fantasy mixed with dark academia? I need it. Hoping it works for me.

Does anyone else get scared to try a super popular book in case it just doesn’t live up to the hype? Terrified that will happen here, but Divine Rivals actually sounds so good. Is it actually much of an enemies-to-lovers situation?

Probably an ironic pick given the title, but I feel like this will be a great SFF anthology for late winter. I’ve been loving global sci-fi this year, so this collection has me excited. I can’t wait to pick this one up.

“A librarian with a mysterious past, a war hero with a secret, and the heist of a magic painting.” Yeah, this sounds like the perfect cozy read for winter.

I’m pretty sure I bought this book because it mentions both The Hunger Games and Station Eleven in the blurb on Amazon. Post-Apocalyptic. Winter. Canadian Yukon. Sounds fun.

Rebecca Thorne’s Las Vegas fantasy with magicians and actual magic? Yeah, I need to read this yesterday. It sounds quirky and witty and fun.

“The Virus spread. Billions died. The Ending began. A group of orphaned misfits.
The wild lands of the last frontier. Superhuman abilities, harrowing adventures, and heartbreaking secrets.”
This book is $0.00 on Kindle, has a 4.29 rating on Goodreads, and over 1800 ratings. It sounds like a great indie sci-fi action-adventure.

I desperately need to finish Snowspelled, which I already own the audiobook of. I’ve read the prequel, Spellswept, which I loved. It’s romance heavy and regency-adjacent, but such a fun fantasy world.
That’s all today!
Have you read any of the books above? What are your thoughts? What’s on your Winter TBR?
