My Top 25 SFF Novellas

Welcome back to Back Shelf Books! 2024 is the Year of the Novella on my blog, which means I’ll be reading a whole lot of speculative, sci-fi, horror, and fantasy novellas to find the best of the best. For more info on what I mean by “The Year of the Novella,” here’s my intro post. To get an idea of my starting point, I wanted to put my top SFF novellas down on paper. Expect to see updates to this list quarterly in 2024 as I go on my novella quest.

Note: Clicking the photos will take you to the Goodreads page for each book!

Top 1-5 (In Order)

Top 6-15 (In No Particular Order)

Top 16 – 25 (In No Particular Order)

Thoughts? Have you read any of these? I definitely have favorite authors that pop up time and time again. We’ll see if that holds true!

Please let me know if you have a favorite SFF novella that you think I need to add to my 2024 TBR!
