Do I need another book challenge for 2024? Probably not. I already have a good number of challenges for 2024. I just couldn’t resist adding COYER into the mix.
Honestly, COYER is a little intimidating. There are a decent amount of rules and the rules change quarterly this year. However, it seems like a great community of bloggers that participate year after year, which makes me excited to get involved! Rule-based challenges are kind of my thing! The theme this year is #COYER Unwind, with a focus on self-care and slowing down. The hosts are Berls, Michelle, Lillian, and Stephanie.
Chapter One of COYER runs from January 1, 2024, through March 19, 2024, at noon EST. The rules for the Winter Chapter (and all the other chapters) can be found here. The main rules for January through March are the following:
- Every book you read MUST be in an electronic format – meaning eBook or Audiobook. It’s okay to start a book before January 1st, you must be less than halfway for it to count then review it during COYER.
- The books must be FREE or NEARLY FREE! This includes review books, tour books, NetGalley, Edelweiss, etc. What’s nearly free? No more than $5 for eBooks and no more than $7.50 for Audiobooks (or the equivalent in your currency). Library books, borrowed books, Kindle Unlimited, Amazon Prime books, and Audible Plus Catalog books do not qualify.
Since this is my first year doing COYER, I have NO idea how this will go and how many books I will be able to read. Since I’m starting COYER Chapter 1 mid-January, I’m going to aim for 25 books this quarter.
Have you ever tried COYER? Are you participating this year?
